Grant Themes

All successful grants will fit into at least one of the following four categories:

• Strategic research – to facilitate partnerships between basic and clinical researchers. Requests in this category can only be submitted as a project grant.
• Enhancement in service delivery – to provide equipment and/or a particular initiative that will result in step change in a clinical area.
• Innovative training and development – to enable staff development and in turn enhance professional skills and boost morale.
• Patient and community engagement – to encourage initiatives which link with local communities and patient groups to inform and raise awareness about specific health issues.
