Seeking Santa's Helpers!

08 Dec 2011

Christmas can be a magical time of year for children – but at the Children’s Hospital in Whitechapel many young patients will spend it hooked up to wires, drips and beeping machines. Instead of it being a joyful time, the festive season can be a stressful time for the children who would prefer to be at home, surrounded by their families and friends.

The Children’s Hospital works very hard to make Christmas a celebratory time for children of all faiths. At Barts and The London Charity, we give our help by providing gift-wrapped presents and treats. We also raise money to support the latest medical equipment and research, as well as funding a comfortable parents’ room and a dedicated children’s website.

“I was in the hospital over the holidays. It was hard being away from my family,
but the hospital staff made me feel better and happier”
Aimie, 14 years old

Please help Santa by donating to the Children’s Hospital or by providing presents for our kids. We are looking for around 120 gifts to ensure that all the children have very happy Christmas.
