Launch of Lord Mayor's Appeal 2012 Christmas Carol Service

On the Tuesday the 20th of December, over 2,300 people gathered at St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the launch of The Lord Mayor's Appeal 2012 'Fit for the Future'. The service included traditional festive favourites as well as a series of beautiful pieces performed by the Cathedral Consort.

The guest of honour was Lord Mayor David Wootton, who also gave a reading alongside stars from the supporting world who included Katherine Grainger, MBE, Olympic Rower, Appeal Ambassador Alex Dowsett, Team GB and Sky Cyclist and Rory Lawson, Scottish Rugby International.

Laura Carmichael and Michelle Dockery who play Lady Edith and Lady Mary in the hit television show Downton Abbey were also present to show their support.
